SoftPro System Requirements – Standard

SoftPro Standard 32.6 - Minimum Requirements

Before Beginning

SoftPro strongly recommends that operating systems are up-to-date with the most current service packs and updates before upgrading to the latest version of SoftPro.
 

Operating System

Servers: Windows Server (2016, 2019, & 2022)

• Note: This version comes with SQL Express 2019 & SQL Management Studio. If you install Standard 32.6 with the default instance, please research the requirements for SQL Express 2019 that Microsoft has published.

Client Workstations: Windows 11

• Note: Please make sure you have the latest service packs and updates installed on your current operating system.

Disk Space

Servers: 8 GB*
Client Workstations: 4 GB*

• Note: 5-10 GB allocated for initial database implementation.

Memory

Servers: 8 GB RAM or higher (server)†.
Client Workstations: 4 GB or more depending on O/S†.
 

Database Server

Microsoft SQL Server: (2017, 2019 & 2022).
Disk: Recommended 2GB Free Disk Space (for installation), plus appropriate disk space for your database. Document storage requirements are highly variable. Disk I/O (throughput) is critical to overall performance.

• Note: Please ensure you have Active Directory Domain Controller for SQL connections. Azure Entra is not supported.
   

CPU

1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 64-bit (x64) processor.
 

Document Merge

Microsoft Word and/or Corel WordPerfect‡ are required to take advantage of the word processor merge features of ProForm. As of this writing, the following have been tested & approved by SoftPro:

• Microsoft Word (2019, 2021, 2024, & 365).

† Adding more memory will improve software performance, especially when working with multiple files or applications simultaneously.
* Actual requirements will vary based on your system configuration, number of applications, & the amount of data you accrue. Additional hard disk space may be required if you install over a network.
‡ SoftPro no longer tests ProForm documents in Corel WordPerfect. You may continue to use this product for your documents, however, SoftPro will only support the listed versions of Microsoft Word.
